Figurative Bronze Sculpture
Human form is to me, the essence of God's creative perfection on Earth. The complexity and symmetry of the human body is most evident in the very fit. My artistic portrayals are to celebrate this creative form, from which we are all made, as well as to depict the story of our journey through life. Our ability to adapt to various environments and cultures, while sharing a common spirit is an endless facination. To create sculpture that captures all that we are is the ultimate challenge.

Equine (Horse) Sculpture
Why am I drawn to sculpting horses? Considering that my left leg is shorter after being shattered by a hoof against my saddle; my nose has a permanent shift to the side, and I've seen stars more than once without looking to the sky--all from our equine friends--I have to say that nothing compares to riding a ridgeline with endless skies; tears flowing along my cheeks from the sheer speed of a triple A racehorse; the primitive energy of riding bareback; the confidence felt in a sure footed steed; and witnessing wild mustangs on a dead run down a precipitous mountainside. To capture the anatomical beauty, symmetry and spirit of the horse in bronze sculpture, is a challenge beyond measure.

Western Sculpture
Categorically, Western sculpture covers alot of territory. I am drawn to both the Historical and present day experience of the Western and Native American Lifestyle. A good portion of my earlier life was on a ranch. I have spent countless hours on horseback, both for work and pleasure. I don't consider myself a cowboy, but I did learn some of the skills and for a while fancied myself as one! My goal is to depict the strength and the character of this part of our American Heritage.

Wildlife
I have created many wildlife sculptures in both relief and three dimensional form. To me, there is a freedom seen and felt only through the species of our Earth that live and roam by their own instinctual patterns. In truth, they are no less demanding artistically than any other form. However, with feather, fur, and hair, form sometimes has a freedom of shape not found in human and equine but these shapes always suggest the underlying anatomy. I have spend a great deal of time among wildlife and their environments, and I still do. There is a special place in my heart for all things wild.
