Figurative--Portrait Paintings
Figurative Fine Art Prints
Since the beginning of time capturing a likeness has been considered to be one of the most challenging and yet rewarding areas of fine art. To create an exact likeness while painting all the inherent beauty, both with the use of color, design and my own artistic interpretation of the spirit is my challenge. Even as a young child I was inspired to draw and paint the portrait and figure. Starting with countless sketches and pastel renderings I was ultimately drawn to oil painting because of the nearly limitless pallet and rich colors. My goal is to see beyond the surface into the life, spirit and story of those who I am privileged to paint.

Landscape Paintings
Landscape Fine Art Prints
I have always loved and marveled at all of God’s creations. My purpose in painting landscapes is to focus the viewer on the complexity and incredible beauty that surrounds us all. I want my landscapes to draw you in with a feeling of inspiration and joy. I want them to have a sense of exploration and adventure in terms of what you might find as you enter into the painted scene. There are stories to be found and created as you free your mind and find a sense of belonging and peace.

Wildlife & Animal Paintings
Wildlife Fine Art Prints
My spirit always peaks when I am in the presence of wildlife. There is something innate in our relationship to all things wild. There is an incredible sense of freedom, that unrestricted environment which is home to wildlife all over our planet. My goal as a fine art painter is to bring you the visual enjoyment and connection that I feel whenever I am in their presence and habitat. Both my husband and I are on a path to help support conservation efforts around the world.

Small Format Fine Art Prints
Small format paintings are generally considered works not to exceed 144 square inches or if square a 12”x12” painting. I enjoy working in all sizes however a small painting can have special qualities. I do small format works of art for a number of reasons. Some subjects are very endearing when created small. I have original paintings and fine art prints as small as 3.5”x2.5”. I have created these pieces with minute detail, but I confess I wear my close up glasses. Small format paintings can create a special focus both in what is painted as well as how they can be displayed. I also do smaller paintings to create a very affordable price range making my works available to a wider collector base. I hope you enjoy these miniatures as much as I enjoy painting them.

Commissioned Paintings
Available Original Oils
Of course, all my fine art begins with an original painting. Before one of my original oil paintings is released for sale it has to have time to cure or dry. The drying time in the thickness I paint generally takes one to several months. Once the oils are dry I use a high quality removable varnish that is specially formulated for the oils I use. All of my originals are painted on high quality professionally stretched canvas or on acid free archival board. All surfaces are first prepared with gesso paint and my oils are of the highest standards to insure their colors and longevity. Properly cared for one of my originals will last for many centuries.

Limited Edition Prints
Selected Previous Works
I have created many art works in the span of my life thus far. Many of them were non-traditional art, such as paintings on leather mandellas; Landscape murals for homes and restaurants up to 28 feet; custom dog portraits on fabric and leather; scenic views painted on furniture for custom homes; and many more ways of portraying the beauty of our world for my clients and collectors. Until recently, I had not completed a body of works in the "traditional" way....painting on canvas and museum board. I have chosen but a few of the many custom pieces to show here.
